Day 3 - Jan 21

Great start to the day, everybody up around 8. Tumba got up later as usual..

On our way to the slopes, Henrik calls to tell us the great news, that  his ski boots are in Lazy dome (the other apartment), and the key to that room is in Tumba's pocket... (Moffe says I shouldn't write more about this incident). Tumba waits for Henrik, the rest lof us leave for the ski lift. Daniel goes missing again...

At eleven o'clock, we're at last ready for the first run of the day at Plein Sud on Mont de Peclet. The snow is much better than yesterday.

Eleven ski gangers out of fourteen. Karin brought her little marionette puppet to entertain everybody when the slopes were bad...

After a while we skied over  to Glacier, because a few different people have told us that there are good runs there. True, true. We enjoyed  it a lot, and after a while Henrik and Sia joined us there.
Meanwhile, Stefan and Anders are skiing the slopes closest to town, in a desperate attempt to find Daniel who always seems to disappear at the first opportunity. They are unaware of the fact that Daniel is very far away from town...

After a couple of hours of fruitless searching, they decide to join the rest of us instead.

(Typical situation during the day: Ulrika's cellular rings.
Ulrika: Hello?
Tumba: Yeah hi, where are you?
U: We're at the Glacier.
T: Okay, we'll come over there.
Thirty minutes later. Ulrika's cellular rings.
Ulrika: Hello.
Tumba: Yeah hi, we're at Plein Sud. Where are you?
U: We're at the Glacier.
T: Okay, we'll come over there.
Thirty minutes later. Ulrika's cellular rings.
Ulrika: Hello?
Tumba: Yeah hi, where are you...)

Lunch at the Glacier. Orangina soda 4 euros. Karin is only half present.

After lunch we split up, some staying, and some deciding to go to Cime Caron, one of the highest peeks, with loooooooong red or black slopes. After arriving at the top, we found out that the red slope we were planning on taking, was closed, so we had to take the black run...
Great skiing, but we decided to try it earlier another day, last go of the day isn't optimal for a 1 km long black slope full of moguls..

AFTER SKI!
Finally we got to rest our sore legs at the Red Fox.

We are having fun. Karin is down to the left, under the camera strap.
In this picture Stefan looks really energetic. This is an illusion.

Mårten, Johan and Kristian made dinner, Pasta Bolognese. Great food, but the wine was left almost untouched, unlike yesterday, when our five liters of wine found a gruesome ending in fourteen thirsty stomachs.

Another difference from Sunday is that everybody is kind of sleepy tonight. See below..

Baby Tumba takes a nap with his dear Evian bottle. No Karin here.

Today's Wurp-Meister: Johan for his sensational fall, 20 meters down the slope, disposing his skis and poles along the way.

Good night!

Plans for tomorrow: Skiing. Plans for Wednesday: Skiing. And so on.
